Directions for use

First burn

Burn until the wax melts to the edge before you put it out. This sets an even pool and prevents tunneling. Plan on several hours the first time.

Each burn

Trim the wick to 1 cm before lighting. Burn no longer than 4 hours at a time. Let the wax cool and set fully before relighting.

The brass

Brass conducts heat. The candle runs warm to hot while lit and stays warm after. Keep it on a heat-resistant surface, and let it cool before you move or handle it.

Finishing

Leave the last 1 cm of wax. Burning it dry overheats the base. Use a snuffer instead of your breath. It keeps the soot down.

Storage

Keep it cool and dry, out of direct sun. Heat and UV change the wax over time.

Safety

Remove all packaging before lighting. Keep away from drafts, flammable materials, children, and pets. Never leave it burning unattended. Do not move it while lit.
