Luce Divina began with a deeply personal question.
What deserves a place in your home?
A thoughtful beginning, shaped by a love of fragrance, ritual and the warmth of home.
Mario P. Vitale
For founder Mario P. Vitale, the answer changed after cancer touched his life twice — through the loss of his wife and his own diagnosis. The experience made him a far more intentional consumer, increasingly selective about what earned a place in his home.
In 2025, he began searching for a candle that reflected the way he now wanted to live — a candle that could satisfy a very specific wish list: substantial enough to feel architectural, beautiful enough to become part of a room and made with ingredients he could feel good about. He couldn’t find one.
So he created it
What began as a single candle quickly revealed a larger idea. A candle did not have to be disposable. It did not have to sacrifice health for atmosphere, or design for function. It could be an enduring object — hand-poured in the United States, made with a considered approach to ingredients and designed to remain in the home long after its first light.
The name came naturally. Luce Divina means divine light — a reflection of both inspiration and intention. That philosophy continues to shape every vessel, every fragrance and every detail the brand brings to life. The process is thoughtful by design: listening closely, testing deliberately and creating only what feels worthy of becoming part of someone’s home.
Today, Luce Divina creates monumental candles that sit somewhere between fragrance, sculpture and interior object. Their scale gives them presence; their craftsmanship gives them permanence. Through the refill program, vessels are designed to be returned, restored and filled again — transforming something traditionally temporary into something meant to be lived with for years.
At its heart, however, Luce Divina remains rooted in the reason Mario created that first candle: the belief that the objects we surround ourselves with should bring something positive into our lives.
With gratitude,
Mario P. Vitale, Founder
Made with intention
Something beautiful. Something considered. Something made to remain.
A light worth living with.
